TANDEM was present at TNC2016, the largest and most European research networking conference, which brings together decision makers, managers, networking and collaboration specialists, and identity and access management experts from all major European networking and research organisations, universities, worldwide sister institutions, as well as industry representatives.
Organised by GÉANT, a TANDEM partner, the prestigious annual TNC conference provides participants with a unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments in research and education networking, both in the technical field and in the area of application and management, and to interact with their peers and make new contacts. Around 650 individuals from 65 countries around the world were registered as participants at this year’s TNC which took place from 12th to 16th June 2016 at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic.
TANDEM was represented by Omo Oayia, WACREN’s Chief Technology Officer, who took part in a session entitled “MAGIC + Sci-GaIA + TANDEM: Towards Sustainable e-Infrastructures”. Following a presentation in which he described the objectives and on-going work of TANDEM, Omo Oayia took part in a panel discussion which focused not only on the individual projects represented in the session, but particularly on how the projects interact to identify and strengthen synergies in their objectives and work plans, and contribute to the strengthening of the wider global R&E networking community.
