The TANDEM project organised a series of events – meetings and workshops – held at the National Universities Commission in Abuja, Nigeria on November 10-11, 2016. The objective was to raise awareness on the project objectives and activities, get the support from the policy makers in the region and trigger involvement of the members of the higher education sector in Nigeria and the West and Central Africa region in general, in the project’s actions. The events have been attended by around 30 participants.

We are very pleased to inform you that the TANDEM series of events proceedings are now available online! Here are the conclusions and outcomes:

  • TANDEM National Awareness and Dialogue NREN Workshop

The main objective of this third national workshop was to raise awareness among stakeholders of NgREN about the need to do the needful for the participation of NgREN in AfricaConnect2.

It was also the opportunity to plan a one-day workshop with the consortium of Nigeria librarians.
